Have you given the control of your life over to the one who made you, loves you, and has a plan and purpose for your life? Direction, peace, and hope are only a simple prayer away. But first you must realize that

  1. You are a sinner. No more excuses. The Bible says that everyone has sinned and fallen short of God’s standard.
  2. Recognize that Jesus died on the cross for you. Jesus said, “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
  3. Repent of your sin. This means to turn away from all known sin in your life. The Bible says that God commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to Him.
  4. Receive Christ into your life. It’s not just believing He is the Son of God but receiving Him into your life as Lord, Savior, and friend. Jesus said, “Look, I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in.”
  5. Do it now! Jesus said, “Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my father in heaven.” If you would like to invite Jesus into your life, pray this simple prayer and mean it from your heart.

Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sin. I repent of it and turn to You by faith right now. I thank you for dying on the cross for me and paying the price for all my sins. I ask you to come into my life right now and be my Lord, my Savior, and my friend. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Help me to stand for You from this moment forward. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.

If you prayed that prayer, congratulations and welcome to the family of God! Now all God’s promises found in the Bible belong to you. I encourage you to start reading the Bible and pray daily. Find and attend a church in your area where they believe in and teach from God’s word.

I would also be glad to provide faith based counsel free of charge to any first responder who finds themselves in a crisis situation due to a critical incident or cumulative stress on the job.
